My Services

As a tutoring business, I offer 1 hour long tutoring sessions, virtually or in person, for students in 3rd-5th grade in Math.

These sessions are for students who are looking for assistance in areas such as multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, basic geometry, and algebra.  Students that would benefit from sessions with me as their tutor would be students who are looking to gain confidence in their math skills, a clear understanding of the concepts and a fun way to be engaged with math.  

The parents that would like to invest in tutoring would be those that are confused with the new method of math teaching, have a busy schedule of working, carpooling, and preparing meals, and those who are not looking forward to handling tears at the end of a long day.

That is where I come in!

We will gather for an initial meeting, and I will administer an assessment to help determine the areas of assistance needed most. During the assessment, the parents and I will discuss the contract that is available and set up a schedule that we will work together on to encourage the best success for the student. Once the assessment is completed, I will develop a lesson plan  that will challenge the student but also assist in the areas that are needed most.  Each lesson will include a review from the previous lesson, a new topic that I will teach, we will work on together and the final point of the lesson will be independent work by the student to recap what we have learned that day.  Lessons can include, but not limited to, arts and crafts, gross motor skills (if space allows), visuals, games, digital learning, audio, paper and pencil or using nature.
